Definition of packaging box

Protect displayed products. It has been widely used in industries such as electronics, food, beverages, alcoholic beverages, tea products, cigarettes, pharmaceuticals, health products, cosmetics, small home appliances, clothing, toys, sports equipment, and product packaging supporting industries. It is an indispensable industry.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of the packaging industry was 929.639 billion yuan. Calculated based on the industrial output value of the packaging box industry accounting for 10% of the total industrial output value of the national packaging industry, the estimated industrial output value of the packaging box industry in 2011 reached 90 billion yuan, with a total of 2000 enterprises. The packaging industry in our country can produce more than 30 varieties of packaging box materials in six major categories, which can basically meet the needs of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. The annual sales account for about 15% of the industry's total sales.
In the packaging box industry, there are relatively few large and state-owned enterprises, and many scattered private enterprises. The overall scale of the industry is relatively small, and it is also facing market invasion from many foreign brands, such as Germany's Schott Group, which has entered the Chinese market with its strong technical and economic strength. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, China's packaging box industry needs to be integrated through various means such as enterprise alliances, acquisitions, and mergers to form some large enterprises and joint ventures, thereby promoting the healthy development of the industry.
With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the improvement of people's living standards, and the increase in medical expenses caused by population aging, the development of new drugs has increased, the pace of medical security system reform has accelerated, and the expansion of urban residents' medical insurance, the industry will continue to maintain a rapid growth momentum. In addition, the quality of packaging materials and the variety of packaging boxes in China are significantly lower than international standards. According to the survey, packaging accounts for 30% of product value in developed countries, while in China it is less than 10%. The next few years will be a period of rapid development for China's packaging industry.
The Outline of the 12th Five Year Plan for the Development of the Packaging Box Industry (Draft for Comments) proposes that packaging boxes are an important component of the industry, and the packaging box material containers that directly contact drugs are the basic elements that make up drugs, which have a significant impact on drug quality and safety. Therefore, in the industry's 12th Five Year Plan, packaging should be placed on an equal footing with drugs, rather than being a supporting industry, and should be clearly defined in the national industrial plan. The research on packaging materials should be synchronized with the development of drugs, and policy support for the packaging industry should be increased, reflecting the industrial policies of packaging box materials, key product and technology areas for development, and development directions.
