Paper barrels, also known as fiberboard barrels, originated from foreign customers. The barrel body is made of eight layers of kraft paper glued together with polyvinyl alcohol solution, and the lid and bottom of the barrel are made of five layers of plywood glued together by machine.

Paper barrels have a production history of many years in China. And paper barrel packaging is widely used in foreign trade export packaging, especially in the fields of chemical, pharmaceutical, intermediate, etc. Due to the high transportation cost of paper drums and the large number of domestic manufacturers, there are basically different distributions in each city.

In recent years, paper drums have been increasingly used in markets such as welding wire, electrical wires, food, and asphalt. Especially in the application of specialty chemicals, food, and asphalt markets, due to the need for a special material inner film on the inner wall of the paper barrel, there are still few domestic manufacturers with mature production technology.

Paper drums can be divided into three levels according to their different uses. The first level drums are used for export and transportation packaging of valuable items, the second level drums are mainly used for transportation packaging of domestic products, and the third level drums are mainly used for transportation packaging of short distance and cheap goods.
